This round ceramic plate is hand-formed using the ancient Nerikomi (Jiaotai) technique, where layers of differently colored clays are twisted, folded, and swirled together, then shaped entirely by hand into a piece that is as much artwork as it is tableware.

The flowing patterns of warm gold, brown, and cream you see are not surface decoration — they are woven into the clay itself, permanent and three-dimensional. No two plates share the same texture. Every single piece is its own original.
